Crosstie Boards

Crosstie Boards Just a small sample of what we were up to yesterday. Took some crossties and had them cut into boards 1-3/16” and 2+” thick. Dried they should be 1” and 2” boards. White oak (on the right), red oak (not pictured) and an interesting piece of sycamore (on the left) with a beautiful grain to it. Getting ready to take Rail Yard Studios into a new phase. Look for the video of us with the woodmizer that was used to plank these bad boys - if I can ever get tumblr or youtube to take it.
