The Telegraph Desk features sections of salvaged 70-pound Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad steel sliced into 1" and 4" sections to create "dashes and dots." The base is crafted from a combination of mainline and branch line ties giving it an impressive presence. It is finished two-tone coloring with Provincial and Ebony stains and polyurethane sealer and topped with a 1/2" thick piece of glass with penciled edges. This piece is individually numbered with a salvaged railroad tie date nail from 1905.
