Designing a commercial custom project

Rail Yard Studios  is a multi-disciplinary design group and manufacturer based in Nashville, TN.  Founded in 2010, Rail Yard Studios began as a Railroad Construction Company serving Railroad Clients in the middle south.  As we grew Owner/Artisan Robert Hendrick saw an opportunity to repurpose the rail pulled from job sites to create a modern urban line of high end custom furniture that reclaimed the history as well as materials.

With  multiple degrees in (and a love for) design, Robert repurposed Rail Yard into a high-end custom furniture design and build company making exclusive and interesting designs for clients around the world always maintaining a focus on timeless, sustainable design.  Over the past five years, he has built that  full-service design/build group with  projects in the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors. A recognized developer of repurpose yet modern American Design, many of our designs are placed in  large corporate board rooms, hotels, museums as well as family homes.

Since our inception, we have resolved to established ourself as as one of America’s most unique furniture producers and innovative design studios. With  the creative leadership of Robert Hendrick we  offer commercial clients and friends  access to a unique take on modern design that help you target vertical markets from mountain living to urban lofts, & Boutique Hotels to Corporate Board Rooms, helping you work with your audience when they are seeking a deeper connection with the products they use and the spaces they inhabit.

Cottonwood Partners is the premier commercial real estate developer in Park City, Utah, located only a few miles from Promontory Point where the golden spike connected the eastern and western railroad lines. Their clients like Rossignol, Skullcandy and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Utah are greeted in the reception area by our Crossing Coffee Table and Double Track Credenza.

Stepping into the board room, our Streamlined Conference Table and a custom-made 15-foot long credenza set against the backdrop of the ski slopes finish out the warmth of the space.

Stacy & Witbeck, the preeminent light rail design firm on the west coast of the U.S., completed their new headquarters directly on the bay in San Francisco in 2012. Critically-acclaimed FME Architecture + Design contacted us about crafting some signature pieces for the new headquarters. Our trademark Sleepers Coffee Table sets the tone in the reception area back-dropped by a wall of cross ties.

Our Streamlined Conference Table and Wrong Side of the Tracks Conference Tables carry through the theme with our coat racks punctuating the industrial chic combination of modern with a twist.
