The Streamliner locomotive designed by Raymond Loewy for the Pennsylvania Railroad redefined style and set in motion the beginnings of industrial design in the United States. 

The Streamlined Bed features a headboard and footboard using solid red oak ties for its main features. The rails are 70-pound Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad steel from around 1908.

Dome head drive spikes attach the headboards and feet and provide steel accents to complement the design.  The Streamliner locomotive designed by Raymond Loewy for the Pennsylvania Railroad redefined style and set in motion the beginnings of industrial design in the United States. 

A wide footboard from rescued crossties provides an ideal dressing bench to sit on and pull on your boots. Pictured with the Third Rail Tables (not included). Over 100 years of history behind it in its century-old steel rails. The sleek and modern "streamliner style" engines of the Pennsylvania Railroad were an early icon of modern industrial design.

The raked back profile provided an aerodynamic look that bestowed upon them a sense of motion even at rest especially compared to other locomotives. Our streamliner line captures the feel and energy of that period combining modern sleek design with historic vintage railroading.
