Switchman's Stool 18-inch

Made of timber with simple lines this stool has a classic look and feel. Crafted from two sections of reclaimed natural wood and constructed with two large steel spikes to hold it together, this is a solid industrial style seat.

We join them together with dome head drive spikes - large steel spikes with a fluted shaft. These fasteners go into grade crossing tying timbers together to allow cross traffic like cars or horse and buggy in the old days.

Envisioned as a stool, this versatile piece of furniture can function as a side table as well.

These stools are made from oak or hickory and other native North American hardwoods. The lumber is actual crosstie material sustainably-sourced as culls or seconds - timbers with imperfections that allow them to be kept creosote-free
