Narrow Gauge Coffee Table with Cherry Timbers

The simple low-profile compact nature of this coffee table led us to dub it the Narrow Gauge - a term for track sections where the rails were set closer together to allow for cars designated for specialty purposes. Some railroads used a custom construction that accommodates both narrow and standard gauge inside the same rail line. 

The low profile comes from a strict adherence to the traditional construction of the railroad using only the most basic materials - wood and steel.

We cut the ends to give the table a more modern look and feel and topped with a piece of glass to put the structure beneath on display.
