The Double Track Credenza pairs the enduring lines of classic American furniture with the unapologetic character of the railroad. Four legs, each formed from parallel sticks of vintage steel rail, support a heavily distressed timber top with a distinctly Stickley-inspired sensibility. Refined in its proportions. Rugged in its materials. Impossible to mistake for ordinary furniture.
The name comes from the railroad itself. Double track allows trains to travel in opposite directions, each with a line of its own. Here, four lengths of early-1900s steel rail give that idea a new purpose: a striking architectural foundation for a piece that feels equally at home in a historic loft or a contemporary executive office.
The timber has a story of its own. Naturally creosote-free and originally cut for railroad use, it found its way to us instead—a fortunate turn of events for a piece of wood with extraordinary distress and character. No artificial aging could replicate it. No two pieces will ever be quite alike.
