Description

The Ladder Dining Table series features sections of steel boxcars reclaimed as the cars are sent to scrap. Each possesses its own unique characteristics in terms of color and materials and brings a strong sense of historic preservation to any Industrial Modern style kitchen or dining room! The authentic wood and steel materials combine to create an heirloom quality conversation piece for gatherings of family and friends.

This dining table version features a section of grey boxcar ladder for the base topped with sections of boxcar flooring.

As railcars are dismantled, salvage crews stack up and set aside the materials for recycling. We catch them before they get destroyed, and incorporate them into the designs we bring to our collection of fine custom furniture.

We crafted the steel base from the access ladder on the end of a decommissioned railcar. Manufacturer markings and graffiti monikers still grace the ends of the car lending further indication of the authenticity of the materials we use. The stenciled SIGMA WS.2-06 GB marking on one end remains highly legible and an eye-catching point of interest.

The tabletop features four sections of authentic boxcar flooring - mostly hard maple. We reclaim flooring from vintage old cars as they head to scrap and give them a new lease on life in the form of our tables and other fine furnishings.

Oversized at 108 inches long and 48 inches wide, there's plenty of room for your guests whether they enjoy a meal or game night in your home.

Why don’t the legs match?

We hand-selected the materials to make the table interesting from any angle and in slightly different ways.

Finish it off with a set of our Hobo Stools for one side of the table to give it an even more dramatic look and feel and show off the features of this gorgeous beast!
